Northcliff’s King of the stage

NORTHCLIFF – Local young dancer, Katleho Mokhahle dance moves make him a top winner.

On the Stage Online Dance Festival recently took place and local dancer Katleho Mokhahle (14) took home the title of King of the stage.

Katleho, who has been dancing for the past 10 years, took part in this online festival that had dancers from all across the province take part. He is part of Kinetic Energy Dance Studio and, as the founder, Erica Bradley, said, Katleho was quite surprised to receive the accolade.

Inspired by house music dancer, Limpopo Boy, what the young dancer loves most about this art form is he gets to learn new things that help him test his strengths. A lover of hip-hop and house dance, he has just started learning the art of ballroom dancing. Through his dance, he hopes young dancers like him will see all the amazing new styles he learns and be inspired to do something they too are passion about.

Bradley said when Mokhahle steps onto the stage, he gets an added form of confidence. “He has an innate passion for dance.”

Katleho is a sponsored dancer at the studio and comes from an underprivileged background, and dancing will be a skill he can use to enrich his life and uplift his family. Next year he will attend Northcliff High School where he will start Grade 8.
