The fortunate Carletonville winner, mentioned above, is one of five known Gauteng winners so far in 2020. Gauteng claimed over R160 million first prize winnings to date for 2020.
The first winner for 2020 won R13,835,362, spent R20 on a ticket and used the quick pick selection. The ticket was bought at Super Spar, Atlas Mall in Boksburg. The drawn SA Lotto numbers were 14, 19, 21, 43, 45, 50 and 37.
On February 4, the second Gauteng winner won a massive R114,580,903. A ticket of R5 was bought and the player chose their own numbers. The PowerBall numbers drawn were 3, 15, 23, 37, 45 and 18.
Three months later, a player bought a ticket on April 9 for R1000. This ticket was valid for 10 draws. On the ticket’s last draw date, May 13, they won the first prize of R19,424,193. The quick pick selection matched the drawn Lotto Plus 2 numbers which were as follows: 14, 20, 32, 34, 44, 50 and 18.
On July 15, the most recent Gauteng winner was one of two Lotto Plus 2 winners. Each walked away with R5,430,307. The Gauteng player selected his own numbers, which matched the drawn numbers 15, 18, 23, 28, 46, 50 and 8. The ticket of R40 was bought at Ebony Park in Midrand.
