Covid-19: Recoveries approach 200 000 mark

Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize reminded the nation in a Tweet on 20 July that the virus will be with us for a while.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa has reached 373 628, with recoveries nearing the 200 000 mark at 194 865.

Gauteng remains the worst affected province with 136 879 cases, 999 deaths and 58 512 recoveries.

Deaths nationwide are at 5 173, according to the Department of Health.

Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize reminded the nation in a Tweet on 20 July that the virus will be with us for a while. “We need to adjust, and we do this by wearing masks, using sanitizer, washing hands and social distancing.”
