Budget Council meeting to take place Today

JOBURG – Virtual briefing on the City's finance will still take place this week.

City of Joburg Virtual Budget Council Meeting has been moved to 2 July.

City of Johannesburg Speaker of the Council Nonceba Molwele accepted a postponement request from the City’s Executive Mayor Geoffery Makhubo and the extraordinary meeting was postponed from 30 June to 2 July. A statement released by the office of the mayor read, “The Executive Mayor’s request is based on a need for the political parties in Council to further consult, a process largely hindered by the current Covid-19 pandemic.”

The council will meet to consider the 2020/2021 Draft Integrated Development Plan, medium Term Budget, Property Rates Policy and by-laws of the City.
