Woodside Sanctuary needs you

AUCKLAND PARK – Secured funding will help this NPO keep intellectually disabled orphans feed, health and involved in rehabilitation and stimulation programmes.

Woodside Sanctuary is calling and pleading with members of the public to help them secure funds for residents who lack financial support.

On 8 June, Woodside was selected by the GlobalGiving Foundation to participate in its Accelerator, an online fundraising opportunity for non-profits around the world. According to Woodside’s fundraising manager Gugulethu Mthethwa, the goal is to have their NPO featured permanently on GlobalGiving’s website. This will go a long way in helping secure funds for future projects and needs. To do this, Woodside and all other NPOs will need to raise at least R86 000 from 40 donors by 26 June.

The funding sourced from the project will provide a place of safety, holistic care and stimulation for the profoundly intellectually disabled orphans they look after. Each resident at Woodside will receive three fully balanced nutritional meals each day while also being able to participate in daily rehabilitation and stimulation programmes which include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, music and movement therapy, remedial teaching programme, and special needs offering.

Woodside Sanctuary is an NPO which provides full-time residential care to adults and children with profound intellectual disabilities. The sanctuary helps these children and adults to reach their full potential and live fulfilling and personally rewarding lives. Woodside needs the public to assist them in reaching their threshold of R86 000 from 40 donors.
