Sparrow FET stated they are incredibly grateful to the HP Refresh Programme for the donation of 20 laptops. These will have a profound impact on the learning of their students and the future of training for the FET College.

HP had partnered with Tarsus Technology Group, Go Rentals, and Dispose-IT to create a non-profit initiative called the HP Refresh Programme. The programme is aimed at working to donate IT hardware to various students and educational institutions to ensure that individuals are able to continue learning through the Covid-19 pandemic.

One such recipient was Sparrow FET College, an accredited training college that, via targeted training, equips learners with the practical skills to enter the workplace before completing their education.

Although Sparrow is ecstatic with the being selected as a recipient of the HP Refresh Programme, they will welcome any more laptop donations. The school is appealing to any members of the public and businesses with second-hand laptops that are no longer being used, to donate them, and partner with them.

The laptops will be used by the FET students allowing Sparrow FET to effectively deliver the remote learning programmes and streamline their online learning process, thus helping provide an education to disadvantaged youth in South Africa.
