While the country is in lockdown, criminals may use this as an opportunity to find easy targets.
Beagle Watch Armed Response shared some safety tips.
- Don’t become complacent about security because you are at home
- Check that your perimeter security is in working condition, e.g electric fence, garden beams etc
- Ensure that doors and gates are locked and windows without burglar bars are closed
- Set your alarm when going to bed at night
- Set your garden alarm equipment when indoors
- Keep a panic button close-by
- Ensure that no valuable items are visible from your perimeter
- Clear the areas around the gates of bushes and other hiding places
- Report any suspicious activity to the police.
