Twitter reacts to the 21-day lockdown of the restaurant industry: “What will we do without Chicken Licken?”

JOBURG – While some are worried that they have to cook every day for 21 days, others are concerned about how they will survive without Chicken Licken.

In compliance with the nationwide lockdown that will take place from midnight on 26 March until 16 April, all restaurants, cafés, bars and coffee shops will also have to be on lockdown for 21 days.

This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane in a statement on 24 March, “Such service providers have not been included on the list of what has been deemed essential services during the lockdown, will not be permitted to operate, and thus need to be closed for the duration.”

In addition, the minister said all food delivery services will need to be suspended.

Twitter users turned to a frenzy after Chicken Licken announced they will be complying with the lockdown.

Some tweeps (Twitter users) even vowed to get their last fast food from the franchise before the lockdown

Let know what are you ordering on your food delivery app for the last time before the lockdown?
