Low risk of load-shedding for today (23 January)

JOBURG – Eskom encouraged the public to use electricity smartly.


Eskom has said in a statement that the risk of low-shedding for today (23 January) is low, even though the system is still constrained.

The unplanned outages have been rising over the past few days and were at 14 301 MW at 8am this morning. “Our technicals teams are working hard to return the units that were on planned maintenance and those that experience breakdowns in order to increase availability capacity.”
