Two-rrific matriculants at King David

VICTORY PARK – The paper spoke to one set of King David Victory Park matric twins who shared on the experience of going to school with someone whom you share a special connection with.

Among King David Victory Park matric Class of 2019 were four set of twins who did not only themselves proud but their families too.

The Northcliff Melville Times spoke to one set, identical twins, Erin and Samantha Kobrin, who shared how life at school with a twin is probably the best thing to happen to siblings.

The pair said it was through the encouragement of each other that they managed to achieve the individual results they attained. “There was not much competition,” they said.

Adding that seeing the other work hard motivated the other to work just as hard. “That’s what is really special about having a twin, especially at school, you will always have someone to talk to if you had a tough day,” said Erin.

And, should they have had a subject together the two made sure to help each other with questions on the subject.

While in primary school the two were not allowed to be in the same class but that all changed when they got to high school. “When we got to high school and were allowed to be in the same class we found it a bit weird at first but then we got the hang of it and found it was actually great,” said Samantha.

Adding that should one have forgotten something important for that lesson the other was always there to assist. In their final year of school, Erin and Samantha had one together, dramatic arts, which they both found to be quite enjoyable.

There wasn’t much separation between the two – they not only loved each other’s company they also shared the same friend group. Spending time at home, and during breaks together with the only time spent apart being when they had different classes to attend.

For Erin and Samantha, there is nothing in this world better than the bond a twins share, as for them it is a unique connection unlike any other. Throughout their school life, the support they gave each other made sure to ease any stresses they may have faced. The pair was overjoyed with the results they received and, like a few in their class, the two will take a gap year this year spending the greater part of it in Israel.

To their class, the two said even though it was a stressful year everyone managed to do their best, “Good luck to our fellow matriculants, you’ve done yourself proud.”
