Keep in mind noise pollution this holiday season

JOBURG – Noise pollution can include playing loud music that may cause a noise nuisance or a disturbing noise to others.

It is that time of year again, year-end functions, family reunions, Christmas parties and generally a jolly good feeling as we wrap up the year.

Even with the fun times, keep in mind your neighbours with noise control regulations, particularly those who live in residential areas or, if you are planning to visit family and friends in residential spaces.

Planning to do a big party or a family gathering? Inform your neighbours before the date. Noise pollution can include playing loud music that may cause a noise nuisance or a disturbing noise to others.

The noise can be produced by any person, animal, machine or device or any combination thereof.
