REMINDER: Take note of these road closures for SPAR Joburg Race this Sunday
EMMERENTIA – The race will take place at Mark Parks Sports Club on 6 October.
The annual SPAR Women’s Challenge in Joburg will take place this Sunday, 6 October at Marks Parks Sports Club, as runners and walkers alike will raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.
Metro police have approved temporary road restrictions during the race between 5am to 10am on selected roads. On their social media pages, organisers of the race reassured residents that there will be efforts made to ensure as little disruption as possible during this time.
Road closures on race day between 5am to 10am will affect Greenside, Parkview and Emmerentia:
- Corner of Judith Road and Beyers Naudé Drive
- Corner of Judith Road and Barry Hertzog Avenue
- Corner of Barry Hertzog Avenue and Sabie Road
- Corner of Sabie Road and Rustenburg Road
- Corner of Barry Hertzog Avenue and Umgeni Road
- Corner of Komatie Street and Greenhill Road
- Corner of Komatie Street and Troon Road
- Corner of Troon Road and Hill Road
- Corner of Troon Road and Orange Road
- Corner of Orange Road and Letaba Road
- Corner of Orange Road and Illovo Road
- Corner of Orange Road and Mazoe Road
