Young bright mathematician at KDVP

VICTORY PARK – Learners at the primary school showcased their clever minds and memories at annual Wits Maths Challenge.


The Grade 4 to 7 learners of King David Primary School Victory Park took part in the Wits maths challenge for the first time this year.

Over 10 000 learners who entered the contest to compete for 300 spots in the final round at Wits, ensuring an intense competition. The final round took place in late July and the awards ceremony was held on 9 September.

Out of the school’s five finalists, three of them were placed in the top 10 of their categories.

At the awards ceremony, the following learners received awards:

  •  Aaron Dorfan – 9th place in the Middle Primary Division
  •  Nechama Fischer – 7th place in the Middle Primary Division
  •  Francesca Lewitton – 9th place in the Upper Primary Division (top girl in her division).

Out of the 20 schools competing, King David Primary School Victory Park placed 5th overall in the Middle Primary Division and 7th overall in the Upper Primary Division.
