Dancers get ready for annual competition

ROOSEVELT PARK – Last stop before the championship stage is set for dancers.

Wooden floors, banging beats and a room full of hip-hop dance lovers. This is exactly what would’ve welcomed anyone who entered the Roosevelt Park Recreational Centre on 14 September as Global Dance Supreme hosted their final outreach programme before their main event for the year.

The outreach programme was hosted in collaboration with the City of Johannesburg and Arts Alive Johannesburg. The event was aimed at exposing dancers to a few lessons from some of the country’s most amazing dancers. Hip-hop dancers of all ages were excited to have Lorcia Cooper, Sino, Blayze and Vouks sharing a few dance movies with them throughout the day.
