FAIRLAND – Potential house breaker found after jumping walls.


Police arrest one of three housebreaking suspects.

On the morning of 12 June, Fairland police were alerted of a potential house robbery. According to Constable Michael Kgatla, spokesperson of the station, “We were called by a resident who said she saw three people jumping a wall in the early hours of the morning. We immediately sent a patrol vehicle to the area and found one of the three suspects.”

Prior to arresting him the suspect was searched and found to have car- and housebreaking implements in his backpack. Kgatla added, “The tools we found, including an Allen key, is constantly used by criminals to break into people’s cars and homes.”

The suspect was charged with being in possession of housebreaking implements and detained at the police station. Police are trying to discover the whereabouts of the remaining suspects and the investigation continues.
