EMMARENTIA – Argentinean Association invites you to experience a taste of Argentina.

The Argentinean Association of South Africa hosts another successful flea market.

Ever wanted to explore Argentina but time and finances aren’t on your side? Worry not, because the Argentinean Association of South Africa (AASA) has the perfect solution to your problem. Every first Sunday of the month, the AASA and its members host an authentically Argentinean experience through their fun-filled flea market. The market on 5 May was at Marks Park in Emmarentia.

On the day, the association ensured that every guest got to see what Argentina is like, thanks to the many food, gift, craft, and book stalls. Entertainment was also provided through music and dance.

The association is an educational and cultural heritage not-for-profit association. They offer Argentinean cultural events, dancing, singing, and other outreach programs in the greater Johannesburg region.

Gustavo Resola and Oriana Pérez Casanova are part of the association and participate in the flea markets. Resola, who has a passion for plants and flowers, said that they want to share their culture with South Africans, inviting everyone to join them. He said, “We have so much to tell and show, our food and art is amazing.”

Casanova, who has an art stall at the market, shared details into what happens at the market days. She said, “We eat, we laugh, we dance, we share stories, a perfect way to spend an afternoon.”

The AASA invites all members of the public to participate in their entertaining events. They welcome young or old, Argentinean or not, to come and learn about and enjoy Argentinean customs and traditions.
