BREAKING: Shootout with robbers in Windsor

WINDSOR – Armed suspects followed their victim home after she drew a large sum of money from a bank at a Risidale Shopping Centre.

A heavy police presence was seen on the afternoon of 7 May when armed suspects reportedly followed their victim home after she drew a large sum of money from a bank at a Risidale shopping centre.

Reports have yet to be confirmed by the police, but Northcliff Melville Times journalist Andile Dlodlo is on the scene.

Information gathered at the scene suggests that a group of five men followed their female victim from Risidale to the corner of Alexander Street and Earls Avenue in Windsor and attempted to rob her.

Police patrolling in the area noticed what was happening and opened fire on the suspects.

Three out of the five suspects were arrested and two fled on foot.

Police on the scene reported that a large portion of the money had been retrieved.
