Fame rocks King David High School

VICTORY PARK – The musical showcases struggles with self-confidence, fame and ambition through the eyes of the learners aspiring for a career in show business.


King David High School presented Fame the Musical at the school from 31 March until 3 April.

The musical tells the story of several learners from New York High School of Performing Arts and showcases their triumphs, struggles, interactions with sincerity and dramatic effect.

The show taps into the difficult issues faced in the performing arts industry such as obsession with perfection, drugs and the downside of fame. The learners in the play are taught to strive for excellence through their journey.

The play showcases great talent from the learners of King David High School with exceptional singing, top acting and dancing. The cast included Paris Obel, Aron Lazer, Dina Kay, Benji Abrahams and Alon Raichlin as leads in the New York cast of the musical.
