After hijacking ordeal, five-year-old girl found alive
BRAAMFONTEIN – A five-year-old embroiled in a hijacking was safely returned to her parents after the car was found abandoned.
Three armed men hijacked a car in Braamfontein between 6pm and 7pm on 21 March. When the hijacking took place, a five-year-old girl was in the car.
The car was later recovered in Parktown, at Princess Place.
The spokesperson for the Johannesburg Metro Police Department, Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said, ” Three armed men took the car from the parents. The five-year-old girl was sleeping at the back seat.”
Minnaar added that because the car had the tracker signal active, the police were able to recover the car with the little girl still in the car, untouched.
“The car was abandoned and found at Princess place in Parktown and the little girl was safely returned to her parents.”
