This ain’t no joke

MELVILLE – Now nobody has an excuse to be bored and not laughing at the community of Melville is now the new home of comedy.

This comes after Goliath and Goliath, an award-winning comedy and entertainment agency, opened the doors of the brand new Melville Comedy Club. They plan to host six shows a week and bring some of the best comedians in the world to their stage while also offering a platform for up-and-coming comedians to perfect the art of humour and storytelling.

Nicholas Goliath, one of four Goliaths in the crew, spoke to the Northcliff Melville Times about the comedy club. He said that they selected Melville to be their new home due to their love of the area. “We love the Melville energy, the area is great and the crowds are amazing. Melville needed a comedy club to take advantage of all this energy and love.”

Goliath expressed that the club will be more than just a place for giggles. “The plan is to create a comedy club that can also be used as a testing ground for new experiences. We want it to be a space for comedians to try out any ideas that they have, not just jokes but any ideas.”

This coincides with their plan for the spot to become a stepping stone for greatness. Goliath said space will allow comedians to express themselves without needing a massive budget in their back pocket.

The club has already featured some of the country’s most loved comedians such as Loyiso Madinga, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Celeste Ntuli, the Gola brothers, Bongani Dube, Lihle Lindsay and many more. Every night at the Melville Comedy Club is guaranteed to be a great one, be sure to check it out soon.
