FAIRLAND – Police have arrested and charged a wanted suspect after finding him in possession of housebreaking implements on 5 March.
While being processed, police discovered the suspect had a warrant of arrest out for him for five housebreaking cases in the Fairland and Florida area.
According to Constable Michael Kgatla, spokesperson of the station, the suspect was found wandering the streets of Fairland in the early hours of the morning. He said, “Our officers were busy conducting their routine morning patrol and saw the suspicious looking suspect. They stopped him and requested to search him. They were able to find housebreaking implements such as screwdrivers hidden on him.”
Kgatla added that the suspect would remain in their custody and would appear in court within the next 48 hours of his arrest.
