Student Representative Council (SRC) of University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) students has gone on a hunger strike in solidarity with their fellow students who can not register because of lack of funds, those who have no accommodation and go hungry every day.

Our journalist, Andile Dlodlo is reporting at the protest. Earlier SRC members staged a sleep in at Solomon Mahlangu House, formerly known as senate house.
