Man robbed of R24 000

NORTHCLIFF – Imagine handing over almost R24 000 to hijackers.

 

NORTHCLIFF – Fairland police have confirmed that a hijacking incident took place at the local country club.

Fairland Police Station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Clive de Freitas said at about 7.10pm on 15 January, a victim was hijacked at Northcliff Country Club by four suspects and was forced to withdraw almost R24 000 from his bank accounts.

The suspects were travelling in a dark coloured station wagon with blue lights. The victim was ditched in Bosmont and they took off with his vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in Eldorado Park.

De Freitas said no arrests have been made but they continued to investigate the matter. They urged any member of the public with information to contact the station on 011 478 9413.
