Two injured as vehicle smashes into home

SOPHIATOWN – No serious injuries were sustained by the people involved.

A woman who was sitting in her home in Sophiatown was injured after a vehicle crashed through her boundary wall on Toby Street.

The incident took place just after 11am on 6 January 2019. According to ER24, the driver of the vehicle is suspected to have suffered a seizure and possibly blacked out while driving.

ER24 paramedics arrived around 11.30am to find the vehicle lodged through the front window of the house. The male driver and the women were treated on the scene for their moderate injuries and then taken to nearby hospitals for further assessments. Police were on the scene for further investigation.
