Reuben Masango’s New Year message

MMC for Development Planning, Reuben Masango writes:

My New Year’s message is that all the teams I am responsible for should rest well over the festive season and come back refreshed in the new year to push our performance and improve on our customer experience.

We hope to achieve our dream of automating all application processes, and we are dedicated to the reduction of contraventions, thus bringing the rule of law back to the city. We further aim to increase community education by increasing our visibility to help spread awareness of what is expected of residents and stakeholders.

A special word of thanks goes out to staff members at our entity, the Johannesburg Development Agency, officials in Region F and the inner city office for their hard work and dedication. We also thank all our partners in the Johannesburg Inner City Partnership Forum for their commitment to working together to revitalise and rejuvenate the inner city. The inner city is a key node of opportunity, but it is only through partnerships with the private sector that we will be able to realise the full potential this area has in store for us. I look forward to working with all of you and making a success of the City of Johannesburg.
