Awards handed out at Woodside Sanctuary

AUCKLAND PARK – Honouring years of commitment and excellent service.

Woodside Sanctuary is blessed to have the staff that helps them throughout every task and activity and on 14 November these people were honoured for their continued efforts.

Woodside Sanctuary, a home for the profoundly intellectually and physically disabled, held their annual Long Service Awards to show their immense appreciation of their staff.

In addition to the awardees’ remarkable achievements, a delicious meal and a memorable toast was shared among those in attendance.

This year’s awards ceremony was extra special as 20 staff members received awards for their dedicated service to Woodside.

Their service ranged from five to 30 years of care, support, love and development.

Kirsten Williams, the general manager at Woodside Sanctuary said, “What an incredible blessing it is to have such wonderful, hardworking staff responsible for the care and treatment for the most vulnerable in society, the profoundly intellectually and physically disabled.

To our amazing staff, we cannot thank you enough for all that you are, and for all that you do.”

Williams went on to say that their commitment and devotion to ensuring that the residents receive the care they deserve is greatly appreciated not only by Woodside’s management committee but also by the families of those in their care.
