Prestigious award ceremony spotlights innovation and technology

AUCKLAND PARK – Business awards showcase excellence in emerging and small organisations for innovation and technology.

The TT100 Business Innovation Awards were held at the Johannesburg Country Club on 14 November where top business innovators were in the spotlight.

At the ceremony, finalists were recognised as leaders, at the cutting edge of business innovation, as the theme of this year’s awards was, Celebrating Leadership.

The winners in each category of emerging, small, medium and large businesses were announced at a prizegiving ceremony.

 

Music group Micasa entertained the attendees at the TT100 Business Innovation Awards.

Professor Bennie Anderson, director at the TT100 Business Innovation Programme said, “Winners and finalists will become part of the TT100 community and are invited to participate in events held jointly with government and our partners to grow in this market.”

The keynote speaker at the event was Minister of Science and Technology, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane and entertainment was provided by music artists, Micasa.

The TT100 Business Innovation Awards Programme has been recognising innovation and technological excellence in South African companies for 27 years with Anderson explaining, “Our objective is to promote the importance of developing an innovative management ecosystem, which can help boost innovation outputs in our companies in a manner that impacts positively on socio-economic development and the bottom lines of our companies, whether emerging, small, medium or large.”

For the future, the programme will continue to seek and identify role models within the management of innovation and technology spheres and show excellence in co-creating new workplaces.

The winners of the night included small, medium and large enterprise with local businesses iPulse Systems and SVA Innovate being included.
