BREAKING NEWS: Armed suspects empty cash drawers at Blackheath Super Spar

BLACKHEATH – The six suspects fired three shots into the air before they made their escape.

Six armed suspects robbed Blackheath Super Spar on the evening of 28 August.

Clive Maher of SCP Security told a Northcliff Melville Times journalist on the scene that the suspects entered the store and not only did they empty out the cash drawers and rob the store they also stole from shoppers. The robbery took place at about 5.15pm

An eyewitness explained that they saw the suspects flee in three cars; an Auris, a VW Up! and a Corolla after firing three shots into the air outside the store.

“They fled toward Mountain View Road towards Linden,” said Maher.

There were no injuries reported and the staff and some shoppers are said to have received trauma counseling from counselors who were on hand.
