Welcome to King David High School’s new SRC

VICTORY PARK – New SRC set to continue with the success of the previous administration.

King David High School has elected its new student representative council (SRC)

There is a new student-led administration at the school as it recently elected and announced its new SRC.

King David High School is very excited about its 2018/2019 SRC which includes Jenna Kaufman, Danit Krawitz, Nicole Kantor, Kira Fisher, Shalya Katzeff, Abigail Klug, Jozef de Aguiar, Jessi Wainer, Adam Danilowitz, Chad Rayd, Gregory Ber, Joshua Michel, Jamie Oliver, Joshua Dove, Megan Kantor, Gabriel Ferreira, Thomas Stenz, Michaela Klug and Amber Pencharz.

The council was announced at a special assembly hosted by the school. Nirvana Rogers of the school said, “We held a special assembly in tribute to Nelson Mandela on 18 July with the theme of great leaders and we then announced the SRC leaders.”

The induction of these leaders will take place in two weeks and they will be given their portfolios then. This hasn’t stopped the new SRC from getting to work already. Rogers said, “Their first task is to identify specific projects that they want to address within their different portfolio committees during their term of office.”

When asked what the challenge for this group will be, Rogers said, “Their main challenge is to maintain the very high standard set by the outgoing SRC.

The outgoing SRC did a fantastic job of taking school sports to a new level and encouraging more engagement from pupils and parents in school sports.

The new SRC aims to continue this as well as enhance the outreach initiatives performed by the school.”

The school wishes the new group all the best for its term.
