Brixton police station named the best performing station
BRIXTON – Second year in a row they are regarded as the best.
Your local police officers were recognised for all the hard work they put in to keep the community safe.
Brixton Police Station recently won big at the 2018 edition of the Johannesburg Central cluster awards. The station was named the best performing station in the cluster.
This marks their second consecutive win for the award. Brixton police spokesperson Jeanette Backoff said, “The awards mean a lot to the members of the station, now they can see what they are working for.”
Not only did they win the prize for being the best police station, they also won the award for the best Vispol group of the year.
This award is given to the police station that has the highest police visibility in the area they cover, and the number of arrests made throughout the year.
Backoff shared how these awards will continue to push every member at the station to work hard to keep the community safe.
She said, “It will motivate us to keep up the good work to see if we can do this next year as well, or better.”
