Homeless fed by Changes Treatment Centre on Mandela Day

NORTHCLIFF – Changes Treatment Centre brings a change to many on Mandela Day.

Changes Treatment Centre filled hungry stomachs of homeless people as part of Mandela Day.

The centre offers rehabilitation for people recovering from drug abuse. The patients together with the staff prepared two pots full of soup and some bread to feed the needy and the homeless.

People came out in numbers to have hot soup and bread. They were very happy to eat, as they didn’t know where their next meal would come from.

“We just want to express to people that we do see them and we do care about them. They must never feel alone,” said Victoria, a staff member at the centre.

The soup was served outside the premises of the centre and at a nearby park where people were fed.

Victoria is happy that all the soup that was made was served to the community.
