Labour forum volunteer wanted at Sophiatown Police Station

SOPHIATOWN – Anyone who might be interested to volunteer as chairperson can send their CV and a copy of their ID to the police before 20 July.

The police are looking for a volunteer to be Sophiatown’s station labour forum chairperson.

The forum provides an opportunity for unions to come together and discuss issues of mutual interest. The chairperson will be the neutral body that aims to find a resolution between the labour department and station management.

Colonel Jenny Naiker of Sophiatown Police Station said, “If there is anyone interested in volunteering they can send us their detailed CV and a copy of their ID.”

Applications are now open until 20 July. Any experience or qualification in labour law will be advantageous.

The position does not include any remuneration. The forum runs once a month, generally on the last Thursday of each month, from 10am to 11.30am.

Interested applicants can forward their CV to Colonel Naicker at naikerj@saps.gov.za before 20 July.
