Loadshedding schedules for 24 suburbs, including yours

JOBURG – Prepare for possible loadshedding.

With load-shedding back in full swing, here is the coming week’s schedule for the area you live in

Eskom, the country’s national electricity supplier, announced that they have reverted back to load-shedding as a means to avoid blackouts this winter. They have stated, “Load-shedding is conducted as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.” This decision has been received by residents and business owners not only with anger and disappointment but also confusion.

The confusion is based on when and where the next scheduled load-shedding occur. Although City Power has put up a page on their website for residents and business owners to find out if their area will be affected, many are still left in the dark about their suburbs.
