Linden resident to star in the SA’s next big comedy movie

LINDEN – You are living among movie stars.

Linden resident, Carine Rous, stars in the upcoming film Thys & Trix. The movie is a locally shot and produced action comedy with a hilariously captivating storyline. Rous plays the character of Heidi Bekker, which Rous described as, “a bit of a wallflower and has a love-interest for Thys [played by Bouwer Bosch].” In the movie, Heidi Bekker is a widow and the only single person in her group of friends.

Rous encourages everyone to flock to their nearest cinema to catch the movie. “It’s locally shot and produced, showcasing South African talent and beautiful Mossel Bay. It’s a fun comedy that will make you laugh and enjoy being proudly South African.”

Rous shared that she enjoyed working with everyone on set. She said Quentin Krog was one of the people she enjoyed working with the most as he was a good and professional director. She also loved the location where the film was shot – the scenic and beautiful Mossel Bay. “All of my scenes were shot in Mossel Bay, a town close to my heart, so I enjoyed all my scenes.”

Apart from Rous, Thys & Trix also features Leandie du Randt Bosch and Bouwer Bosch in the lead roles. The movie follows the journey of sibling police officers Thys and Trix who are expelled from their duties due to their non-stop bickering. They are then assigned to assist with the investigation of a crime syndicate in an exclusive golf estate outside Mossel Bay. What complicates the issue, and brings humour to the movie, is that they have to pretend to be a married couple to make the investigation credible.
