Brixton accident leaves taxi driver seriously injured and another unharmed
BRIXTON – Accident results in serious injuries for driver.
A man was transported to hospital after he sustained serious injuries following a car accident.
A collision between a taxi and a bakkie has resulted in the driver of the taxi sustaining serious injuries.
The accident took place in the late afternoon of 6 June 2018 on the corner of Brixton Road and Caroline Street in Brixton.
ER24 said in a statement, “Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 5.00pm, they found a male taxi driver entrapped in the taxi. The fire brigade and ER24 had to extricate the man using the Jaws of Life.”
After assessing the scene, the paramedics found that the man had incurred serious injuries.
The injured man was treated and provided with life support before being taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries. Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
