Police application forms are not for sale

BRIXTON – There is no such thing as payment for police application forms.

Application forms for job posts with the police are free of charge.

After receiving numerous calls on the cost of application forms, Brixton Police are reminding the community that these forms are free of charge.

Jeanette Backhoff, the station’s spokesperson said, “We’ve received numerous calls of people who want to apply for the posts, but wanted to know where they can buy the application forms and how much it costs.”

She stated that young people looking to be part of the police are falling victim to this scam.

She confirmed that there are new posts being advertised for the 2018/2019 intake but cautioned those interested, of this new scheme.

The idea that there is a cost involved for application forms is false information. Application forms can be collected for free and submitted at your nearest police station.

Backhoff reminds the community that the closing date for all applications is 15 June next year.

For more information please contact your nearest police station.
