Bargains galore at Moth Cottesloe Cottages fête on 3 June

FAIRLAND – The Moth Cottesloe Cottages fête promises to be another exciting installment of the yearly event.

If you like a bargain, a family day out and supporting your community, you can’t miss the Moth Cottesloe Cottages fête at 278 Johannes Street in Fairland on 3 June.

The annual fête is the biggest fund-raiser for the village, run as a non-profit organisation, which is the home of retired ex-servicemen and women and their spouses.

The South African Irish Regimental Pipes and Drums will lead the Jan Smuts parade with the retired soldiers during the day.

Last year, some items like books, plants and vegetables sold for as little as R2, and the food was a great hit.

This year visitors can expect to see a book stand, tea and cake section, a cake and candy stand, curry and rice, boerewors rolls, bacon and egg rolls, ceramic artwork, second-hand clothing and a ‘white elephant’ stand.

Simply B will be selling natural aromatherapy room and linen sprays as well as pre-treasured jewellery and other bits and bobs. There will be a section with flowers, plants and vegetables on sale as well.
