Sparrow Combined Technical Skills School is excited to launch its first hospitality class.
The class caters for youngsters who want to venture into the hospitality career field. Professional chef, Malcolm Scott, who has his own business and is a supplier for the school, is the new hospitality facilitator.

“Thank you to the Sparrow Foundation for making this ‘master- chef’ styled kitchen available for the learners. It will give us such a great opportunity to test each learner’s level of skills and upskill them,” said Scott.
Also present at the launch was the founder and general manager of the school, Jackie Gallagher, who was happy to announce the opening of the new classroom.
“This new kitchen will enable us to teach learners how to work with food in order to earn a living while feeding others.”
Principal Ashwon Letchman added, “Hospitality has always been seen as just for girls but we also have a lot of boys in the class because they have embraced their talents. These students can now have their passions ignited because of this new kitchen.”
