Runner knocked over by alleged drunk driver in Waterval

A runner was knocked down on the corner of Main and Albert streets in Waterval by an alleged drunk driver earlier today.

SCP Security’s Clive Maher said security personnel were on the scene together with ER24 when the injured runner was transported to hospital.

“The local community is waiting on police to ensure the drunk driver is arrested,” he said on a Facebook post.

Police could not be reached to confirm any arrests, but the story will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
