Have a blast at the Trinity Methodist Church’s Holiday Club

LINDEN – The Holiday Club can be attended by children between the ages of 0 to 7 years old.

Trinity Methodist Church will host an exciting Holiday Club for primary school children, with a theme titled Toy Story-Reach for the Sky.

The week-long programme has been running for the past 35 years. Lay minister Brett Mordaunt said the programme provided a safe environment for children to have fun, engage with others and learn about God.

“We have had many children attending who spread the word to bring their friends along with them,” he said. “Since its start, Holiday Club has always taken place during the Easter School holiday. Many children who attended in previous years are now leaders and some even bring their own children many years later. Although the club is run at the church, it’s open to the whole community.”

He added that teenagers and young adults were given the opportunity to lead the programme. All children from Grade 0 to 7 were welcome from 8am to 1pm daily.

“The children will be able to participate in activities such as games, crafts, small group time, worship, watching a play and partaking in a 30m banana split on Fridays. We provide them with juice and a tea time snack.”

He added that there were also family evenings where parents and caregivers could come to find out about the programme and get to meet the leaders.

Due to the generosity of the congregation, the holiday programme is for free. For more information contact the church office.
