King David learners ready to send Mishloach Manot

VICTORY PARK – King David Victory Park Primary School makes sure the elderly have enough to eat for the upcoming Purim Feast.

King David Victory Park focuses not only on education but also on supporting their surrounding community.

The King David Victory Park Primary School did their part to gather foodstuffs for sending of Mishloach Manot. According to marketing manager Nirvana Rodgers, the act of giving Mishloach Manot is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim Feast.

Foodstuffs gathered by King David Victory Park Primary School learners.

She said it is also meant to increase love and friendship among Jewish people and their neighbours. The feast takes place from the evening of 28 February to the evening of 1 March.

The campus’ primary school learners collected apple juice, small packets of crisps and chocolates for their Mishloach Manot collection.

Rodgers explained that the foodstuffs will go to an organisation for the elderly in the community.

She said the primary school learners designed and packed their own packages. Rodgers explained that the children are not only involved with making up the packages but will also be involved in the delivery of the Mishloach Manot to the elderly.
