Cyclist in critical condition after bakkie knocks him off his bike in Northcliff

A cyclist has been left critically injured following a bakkie accident which knocked him off his mountain bike.

The incident occurred at the corner of Zulu Street and De Wet Road in Northcliff.

According to ER24, the injured body of the man believed to be in his 40s was found lying in front of the bakkie which had come to a halt in the middle of the intersection.

Paramedics treated the man and he was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the bakkie escaped without any injuries.
