Another body found hanging from a tree in Alberts Farm

ALBERTS FARM – The latest incident makes for the second body hanging found from a tree.

Seemingly for the second time in the space of just over six months, another man was found hanging from a tree in an apparent suicide.

An initial post did the rounds on Facebook.

According to SCP Security director, Clive Maher, the man’s body was found on the evening of 26 February. He explained that it was found towards the Northcliff end of Alberts Farm just off De La Ray Road with the closest intersecting road being Friedman Drive.

While Maher confirmed that the body was found hanging from a tree, he could not give further details as he explained police had quickly taken control of the scene.

Northcliff Melville Times approached the Sophiatown Police Station for more information about the incident but their spokesperson, TJ de Bruyn, explained that he had not heard back from officers who had been at the scene.

No details about the man have been revealed other than that he was wearing a red top at the time of his death.

On 30 July last year, the first man hanging from a tree was found by a displaced man living on the patch of land.

The body had valuables on it which included a cellphone which kept ringing around the time authorities were at the scene.

This is a developing story. More information will follow as it becomes available.
