“It is a privilege to address the community of the Brixton policing precinct and to wish them all of the best for the new year we are approaching. As the station commander of Brixton Police Station I want to make use of this opportunity to thank the community for their support and assistance to make the Brixton area a crime free area. I also want to thank the members of the station for all their hard work, dedication and positivity.

“During the festive season will we have extra patrols and high police visibility to send out our message of non-tolerance of crime.

“I want to call upon the community to make sure that they are safe at all times. Be extra vigilant about your surroundings. For those people who are fortunate enough to go on holiday, please get someone to look after your property and put all your valuable items away safely.

“Let the spirit of love gently fill our hearts and homes in this loveliest of seasons and may we find many reasons for happiness.
