Wits student found dead on campus

A body of a Wits student was recently discovered in a room on Wits campus on 23 November.

The circumstances of his death are still not known.

Witwatersrand University communications officer, Buhle Zuma said the university confirmed the body of a young male student was found.

“University officials met with the family of the deceased on Friday. The matter is under investigation by the South African Police Services and Campus Protection Services.
“Should anyone who knew the deceased require counselling services, please visit the counselling unit. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult period,” said Zuma.
