Drugs and paraphernalia found in Brixton residence

BRIXTON – Brixon Police Station thanks the community for providing useful information.

Brixton Police Station and various other role players found drugs and drug paraphernalia in a Brixton residence and are now searching for the person to whom it belongs.

Spokesperson for the station, Jeanette Backhoff explained that the successful drug recovery came as a result of the station’s reservists and the other parties which followed up on information reported to them by the public.

The information led them to a house in Collins Street on 18 November. Police officers found drugs, pipes, spoons, small plastic bags and other paraphernalia.

While all these items were found, the person living in the house or the person distributing the drugs was not on the scene at the time of the raid.

Backhoff said police are now following up on information which could lead to the whereabouts of the suspect.

“We want to thank the community for all information that they share with the police,” Backhoff said.
