WATCH: Identifying trees at Melville Koppies

There’s an app for everything these days, even trees.

The Tree App innovator and project leader, Val Thomas, visited the Melville Koppies Nature Reserve to introduce her app to various media houses.

The app allows aspiring conservationists, botanists or those in love with the outdoors to identify and learn about trees, including what particular trees can be used for, how to garden with them and whether or not they are indigenous.

The Tree App won the agricultural solution category at the 2017 MTN App of the Year Awards.
