A Ruimsig pastor who was recently reported missing has been found dead in Magaliesburg.
Founder and senior pastor at Life in Christ Network, Martin Beneke, was reported missing by People Search and Rescue Unit on 16 October. The missing person alert indicated that he was last seen at the Total petrol station on 14th Avenue in Fairland, driving his white double cab Nissan Navara.
Unconfirmed reports have indicated that Beneke was found dead either on the evening of 16 October or during the early hours of 17 October.
Northcliff Melville Times has spoken to his daughter, Carla, who confirmed her father’s passing but could not share any more details.
Since the tragic news, many people, including members of his congregation and friends, have posted messages on Beneke’s Facebook profile page. The messages encouraged his family to be strong during this difficult time.
Northcliff Melville Times has contacted the Florida and Magaliesburg police stations and is still awaiting comment from the police about the incident.
