Parkview police celebrate successful conviction

PARKVIEW – A man is sentenced to six years for housebreaking.

 

Parkview police celebrated the conviction of a 34-year-old man who was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment for housebreaking and theft.

This according to the spokesperson for Parkview Police Station, Tintswalo Sibeko who said a case of housebreaking and theft was initially reported on 29 October last year.

The victim left his residence and when he returned he discovered the cottage door was forced open. Upon inspection, he discovered his jewellery, cellphone, pots, taps and R1 800 were missing.

The stolen items were valued at R25 000.

“The case was allocated to Constable Mmeli Mzolo for investigation and he managed to secure a successful conviction due to all the evidence which was gathered against the suspect. The Hillbrow Magistrates’ Court found Landi Mabuza guilty of all charges.

“The Parkview police aim to continue to arrest and investigate those caught in the wrong side of the law,” said Sibeko.Details: 10111.
