King David prepares partner school for final exam

VICTORY PARK – King David Victory Park High School took care of a partner school's academic and culture needs.

It’s all about preparation at King David Victory Park High School and they shared their methods with Esiyalwini Junior Secondary School.

Esiyalwini is King David’s partner outreach school, located in Soweto.

King David invited Grade 7 learners from Esiyalwini to a study skills workshop at the school to prepare them for their final exams. Jozelle Grobbelaar, King David educational support administrator lead the workshop.

The workshop included drawing up a revision schedule, based on a specific examination timetable, learning different study techniques to master specific content.

In addition to giving Esiyalwini tips on how to approach their final exam, King David donated stationary to the Grade 7s as well as the rest of the school.

“The school wanted to ensure that the students from Esiyalwini Junior Secondary School would be better equipped in exam writing skills following this initiative and that they will be able to perform to their full potential during the November examinations,” said Nirvana Rogers, marketing manager for the school.

The generous stationery contribution was made by Valuegro who joined forces with the school.

King David not only took care of Esiyalwini’s academic needs, they also supplied the school with a melodica, a wind instrument that sets the note for choirs at the start of songs. This was made possible by Georgie Maselle of King David. They did this after learning the school is trying to make their mark as an outstanding choir in their community.
